About Us

AMPERS is the largest statewide association of community radio stations in the United States. Our stations primarily serve underserved populations in greater Minnesota, including tribal nations, communities of color, veterans, and students. Each of the 17 stations is locally managed and programmed by and for their local communities.

Our Mission

AMPERS’ mission is to help member stations serve their diverse communities by generating revenue, developing and sharing programming, and actively working to change the narrative regarding historically underrepresented communities, including Indigenous populations and veterans, through accurate storytelling and reporting.
