The Minnesota Mandolin Orchestra has been entertaining audiences for decades. The next chance to listen to the massed mandolins will be at Como Lake Pavilion Monday August 26 at 7PM. In a conversation with Phil Nusbaum, Director Lon Hendricks talked about two parts of his philosophy: Keep the music varied and lively. To those ends, the Minnesota Mandolin Orchestra enjoys playing marches.
Delina White’s I Am Anishinaabe fashion designs have walked the runways of the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, the world-renowned Indian Market in Santa Fe, New Mexico. And they will soon make their way to the Northwest Indian Community Development Center in Bemidji.

Chel Anderson is a botanist and plant ecologist who has lived and worked on the North Shoreof Lake Superior since 1974; you might know her as the North Woods Naturalist on WTIP.
