Anoka Sandplain Restoration

Hundreds of years ago, Minnesota was mostly prairie and savannah, with sparse trees and thick grasslands grazed by large, roaming herds of bison and elk. But as settlers moved in and began reclaiming the land for agriculture, most of that ecosystem was destroyed.
