Musician Ben Weaver is riding his bicycle around Lake Superior to engage people along the route in conversation about the state of our fresh water. He’s performing his music at many stops along the way. Ben spoke with WTIP’s Dick Swanson, and played a few tunes, during a recent stopover in Grand Marais. As Ben says in this interview, “Why do we have to choose between jobs and fresh water?”
Milt Lee talks with Keila McCracken, weaver and sustainable fashion designer and owner of Bare Cloth Studios in Bemidji, MN. Keila makes sustainable fabric and clothing using local fiber & dyes, and a foot-powered Hattersley loom, named ‘Maurice’.
Musician Ben Weaver was in town this past weekend to ride in the Le Grand Du Nord. He also was showing his new film, “Music for Free”, which was made last year as he rode the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route from Banff, Canada to the U.S.-Mexico border. He joined the Roadhouse and chatted with Dave about that trip and much more.
