In 1962, Dave “Snaker” Ray, Tony “Little Sun” Glover and “Spider” John Koerner met in the Dinkytown neighborhood near the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. They formed a trio whose musical influences ran deep into America’s history, and whose influence on future musicians still runs to this day. Autumn Haeg reports how their approach to country blues would take them to the Newport Folk Festival and the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame.
