We talk with MN Legend Mark Olson about his new solo CD “Many Colored Kite.” Mark Olson was the founding member, and principle singer/songwriter with The Jayhawks – who were on the forefront of the alt-country scene in the mid 80’s and 90’s. Also music from Pat Surface’s new CD “Songwriter.” Centerstage MN with Doug MacRostie showcases the talents of MN musicians.
We talk with Kevin Fenton about his new book “Leaving Rollingstone.”
Kevin was born on a family farm overlooking Rollingstone, MN. “Leaving Rollingstone” resonates with the search for home, and a new way to define yourself when you can’t go home again.

This week, Winona LaDuke speaks with “hempster” Blake Hunter, a Metis hemp farmer in Batoche, Saskatchewan, as well as members of the Oneida Nation tribal council, Councilman Paul Ninham and Vice-Chairman Greg Madson, who are “not hempsters” but were visiting with Blake and discussing the potential of growing hemp.
