The railroads opened up northwest Minnesota and the Midwest by transporting products from the farm fields and the deep forest. The people who produced those goods most often began their time here in a settlers cabin. This week on Hometown History, Jamie Bakken from Peder Engelstad Pioneer Village in Thief River Falls, talks to Grant Nelson about both of these elements of life starting in the 1800s.
