Thomas Bruce Performs Live and for Streaming at Crooner’s, Friday June 11

When Thomas Bruce is touched by a song, he wants to sing it to others. He’s sharing some great ones at Crooner’s Dunsmore Room Friday evening June 11 at 5:30. One of Thomas’ early influences was Billy Strayhorn’s “Lush Life.” Thomas told Phil Nusbaum of his inspiration to sing the song.

Minnesota Music Notes Featuring Lady Midnight

This week on Minnesota Music Notes Brett Carter features Minneapolis artist, Lady Midnight, with her most recent release of a new single Tide Over. Lady Midnight is known as a multidisciplinary artist who uses dance, music and other arts expressions to share her own story as well as working with kids to encourage them to use their creative energies to respond to the world around them.

Lady Midnight is her stage name, born out of a series of projects that allowed her to move more into creating and performing her own music complete with elaborate themes, costumes, and staging. Find Lady Midnight on bandcamp, Instagram and other social media under the name L8D MDNT. And watch for live performances in our area, she’s been here several times already and is sure to return.

Alexander Sandor: Classical, Ragtime and the Itasca Symphony Orchestra

For the first time in over one year, the Itasca Symphony Orchestra will perform in front of a live audience this weekend. Alexander Sandor will join the production as a featured guest pianist. Hibbing’s Public Art Space in Honor of Bob Dylan

The Hibbing Dylan Project will break ground this Saturday at 1pm on a public art installation meant to inspire creativity and contemplation. Katie Fredeen from the Hibbing Dylan Project told us all about it on the morning show.
