Show Me A Story, the current exhibit at The Harlow/Kleven Gallery within the Watermark Art Center, inspires curiosity by inviting the viewer to engage thoughtfully with each work. Laura Goliaszewski curated the show. Arts Laboratory and Home in One Bus!

Brandon LaPlante of Crookston, MN recently received a grant from the NW Minnesota Arts Council to transform a retired bus into a “mobile” arts work area/center and home. Brandon shares the details.

Support Within Reach is an area nonprofit dedicated to helping victims of sexual violence. Gabrielle Congrave Baggenstoss is a Regional Navigator for Support Within Reach. In this Area Voices segment, she discusses her work, explains sexual exploitation and who is at greatest risk, discusses the prevalence of sex trafficking in our region, addresses date rape, and educates on both the psychological effects of sexual violence and how to help individuals who’ve been traumatized it.

Their new book couples 20 of Kaul’s paintings with 20 of Willimek’s poems and inspires the reader to engage in the moment, respond to the work and feel more connected, aware and alive.
