At one point during its existence, the Minnesota State Public School for Dependent and Neglected Children in Owatonna housed 500 children. An award-winning 2002 documentary conveyed their candid and often sad stories in their own words. Now a new digitization project will make the Minnesota State Public School Orphanage Museum’s oral history collection available to everyone. Don Lee reports.
