What does a jazz orchestra want to do? It wants to play for dancers, that’s what. We go on location next to one of the Minnesota Jazz Orchestra’s monthly dances at the Wabasha Street Caves in Saint Paul. The next one is Thursday June 14, from 7 till 10pm. Cara Thrane is co-owner of the band, and also its sound person, and she spoke with Phil Nusbaum about the playing for dancing.
