Centerstage Minnesota: Germaine Gemberling Joins Charlie Pulkrabek
Germaine Gemberling grew up in St. Paul. Germaine’s career in music began early, in her teens, as part of an all female punk band working with Twin/Tone Records called Smut. Gemberling was playing roots music by the time she moved to Ely in 90’s. Her 2010 self-titled release got the attention of many. And in 2013, Germaine Gemberling released “Generator,” a record featuring Germaine’s working and life partner Rich Mattson’s recently reformed band Ol’ Yeller. In this edition of Centerstage Minnesota Germaine Gemberling and Rich Mattson sit down to talk with Charlie Pulkrabek. Music also from Jelloslave, White Iron Band, Actual Wolf, Ol’ Yeller, Crankshaft & the Gear Grinders, and Sam Miltich and Clearwater Hot Club featuring Dave Karr.
