August 1906 – The Earharts—mother, father and two girls—made the first of many summer pilgrimages from sweltering Kansas to balmy Worthington, Minnesota. The friends made there would marvel years later when the oldest Earhart girl became famous aviator Amelia Earhart. Here’s Britt Aamodt.
