In 1967, The Doors guitarist Robby Krieger needed to come up with some songs for his group’s next album. Inspiration struck when he played with the riff from “Southbound Train,” a song penned by Minneapolis singer-songwriter Spider John Koerner. Here’s Britt Aamodt.
