1963 – Peter Thorkelson flunked out of Carleton College in Northfield for the second time. He’d been more interested in music and drama than his English Literature studies. What was he going to do now? He changed his name to Peter Tork and, in 1966, won an audition to play the member of a fictional rock band in the sitcom The Monkees. Here’s Britt Aamodt.
