The Ely Winter Festival kicks off this weekend! It began in 1984 and has, over the years, morphed and changed into the nearly 2 week winter extravaganze that it is today. Snow sculptures, fat bike races, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating, sled dog rides, guided snowshoeing and classes available from beading bracelets to tanning animal hides, this event has something for everyone. Shauna Vega is one of the organizers for the festival. She talks about all the magic of the Ely Winterfest in this segment of Let's Visit!
