Kristin Eggerling lives in Hallock, MN, the mother of two and a freelance writer in northwestern Minnesota. She most recently worked in the public health field as the administrator for Quin Community Health Services which serves the counties of Kittson, Marshall, Pennington, Red Lake and Roseau. Kristin has worked at the Minnesota Senate as the administrator of the Environment and Natural Resources and Agriculture Budget Committee, taught sociology at the University of Minnesota-Crookston, held a variety of positions on numerous legislative campaigns and helped coordinate watershed education efforts in the Red River Valley. She has also served on the Citizen’s Advisory Committee of the LCMR (Legislative Commission on Minnesota Resources). She is currently the Co-Chair of the Northwest Regional Sustainable Development Partnership Board, in additional to being the chair of the Hallock Library Board and the Kittson County DFL. Kristin holds a B.A. in sociology from Augsburg College and an M.A. in sociology from the University of Manitoba. Eggerling is an author. Her latest book is “Breath of Wilderness – The life of Sigurd Olson.”
