On this episode of “Art Beat” we get to know Jon Swanson, curator for the Minnesota Marine Art Museum in Winona. Jon has a passion for art. At age ten, he knew he loved photography. Jon is also a historian and a nautical archeologist. His travel have taken him to research shipwrecks overseas and in the United States. Today Jon shares with is what it takes to create a successful exhibits, adventures had in his extensive career and give us insights on his favorite collections including the current running “Ink and Water, Sailor Tattoos”.
