Marsh Muirhead, a writer, dentist, flight instructor, and much else besides, lives near Bemidji, MN on the banks of the Mississippi with his dog, Scout. He is a winner and twice finalist of the Great American Think Off and is the author of “Key West Explained: A Guide for the Traveler.” He recently published “Her Cold Martini,” a collection of haiku. The Beat is a daily reminder that, in Minnesota poetry matters, and Minnesota poets prove that every day.
