Rockwell Kent and Carl Ruggles

During the span of 1912 to 1913 a most interesting individual captured the attention of the entire town of Winona, MN, Rockwell Kent. I honor of this Renaissance man, Winona, MN had Rockwell Kent in Winona A Centennial Celebration, which took place this February 6th-10th. Many activities took place including a symposium. Today we feature a talk by Beth Christensen on the connection between Rockwell Kent and Carl Ruggles. Carl Ruggles was a composer and a conductor. Today we’ll find out how Rockwell Kent and Carl Ruggles crossed paths. And how they influenced each other’s works.
