The Duluth Art Institute is opening two summer exhibits on June 29, "Peripheral Vignettes" a solo show of Jonathan Thunder's paintings, and "Play" a group multi-media show about games. The work in this show stretches and re-purposes our concept of games sharing new ways to see and play. Play can also be educational and cross-generational and the show even offers opportunities to have some fun; play and think."Play' games include an Anishinaabe singing game for healing the water, a site-specific croquet court and a sculpture made from the game Battleship.
