EPISODE 34: “The Most Dangerous Man in the Blues” Tommy Castro
In a 2011 Blues Revue article Art Tipaldi described Tommy Castro as The Most Dangerous man in the Blues.
He writes, “Castro isn’t Rolling Stones scary nor is he dangerous like the 1970s bands that advised “Lock up your daughters.” Tommy Castro is formable because of his drive, ambition and charisma. He is dangerous because he has an inner drive that will push him to out hustle and out work most blues bands. He is threatening to any musician who takes a break from the grind, because Castro will not rest”.
With 14 albums on multiple labels under his belt since his 1994 release of “No Fooling”, Tommy Castro is a driving mainstay force in the Blues world of music.
