Singing in front of a big band is how jazz fans best know Courtney Burton. But she’s also got a new combo with Eric Edwalds on the piano, sax man Rich Goldman, bassist John Etzell and Bruce Hoppe on the drums. It’s called Court’s in Session. Courtney talked to Phil Nusbaum about how singing with the big band proved to be a great training ground for combo singing.
