Area Voices: Aimee Bouchard, Painter

Minnesota Arts, Culture and History | Music | Arts | Culture | Northern Community Radio – KAXE & KBXE
Aimee Bouchard parlayed her artistic passion into her career as a graphic desinger. She's now moved full circle, from designing on the computer screen back to designing on watercolor paper. Using gouache paint, Aimee creates bold, playful, folk art styled work. Her images can be found on prints and cards available at the Art and Antique Mall as well as the Peculiar Painter in Walker, MN. They can also be found on another medium, fabric. The bright, playful images caught the eye of the Quilt Minnesota board member Jana Weise and now Aimee has designed several prints that will be availabe exclusively during the 2020 Quilt Minnesota Shop Hop happening July 31t thru August 16th, 2020. In this Area Voices segment learn more about her process, the architectural commission and mural work she's doing, and why she practices painting images on spaces as small as 1"x 1".
